TagRegister is a small product made by Campsite Studios. There are no accounts, no email sign-up and no payments. This page says what is stored, where, who can see it and how to have it removed. Questions go to [email protected].
What we store for your register
- The register (workspace) name you type in.
- Your interval rules: the environment labels, months and when each version was confirmed.
- Appliance details: asset ID, description, location, and whether and why it was retired.
- Test records: tester name, test date, pass or fail, the readings and notes you enter, and when each record was saved.
- Due dates, and when tag labels were generated.
- A daily due check: how many appliances were overdue, due within 30 days, failed or untested, and which ones. Checks older than about 90 days are deleted automatically.
- A one-way hash of your recovery key. We cannot see or resend the key itself.
Tester names are personal information. Enter only what your business needs for its records.
Where it is kept
Register records are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and served by Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process and store this data outside Australia. Cloudflare also keeps short-lived request logs, which include IP addresses, to run and protect the service.
What stays in your browser
Your browser keeps a signed workspace key in local storage so it can open your register. It is replaced with a fresh 30-day key each time you visit. On the test form, the browser also remembers the last tester name you typed so you don't have to type it again; it stays on that device only. If you save a test while the phone has no connection, the test (appliance, date, result, tester name, readings and notes) is kept in the browser's local storage until it is sent to the register, then removed; clearing the browser's data before then loses it. TagRegister does not set cookies. If site analytics are switched on, they use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.
Who can see your register
- Anyone with the workspace key in your browser, or with your recovery key, can open and change the register. Keep both private.
- Each printed tag carries a QR code. Anyone who scans it, or has its link, can see that one appliance's public status page: the register name, asset ID, description, location, latest result, test date, next due date and interval version. The status page does not show tester names, readings or notes.
- We do not sell or share register data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting records
Records are kept until you ask for them to be deleted. Retiring an appliance keeps its history, because test records are usually needed later. To have a whole register deleted, or to get a copy, email [email protected] from your business address with the register name. We may ask for the recovery key to confirm the register is yours.
What TagRegister is not
TagRegister records the rules, readings and results you enter and does date arithmetic. It is not certification of compliance, electrical safety or tester competence, and it does not include or reproduce any standard.
